What you need to know about
Job Placement Assistance
If you’re being sent for Job Placement Assistance, it means we are now part of your return to work team!
We’re here to help you get back to work!
Job searches look very different today than they did even 5 years ago. We are here to help you learn how to navigate the current job market.
That means finding a job that follows the limits your doctor has set for you, understanding the skills you already have, how to advocate for yourself as an employee, interviewing skills, and salary negotiations are all part of our services.
Our number one goal is helping you return to work. Whether it’s a modified version of a past job, or a new role that matches your abilities, we’re here to support and guide you every step of the way.
What the process looks like
Learning how to find the right job
We start new job placement participants once per month, in a group. Your services are fully tailored to your needs, but everyone in the group participates in a series of webinars. In these webinars we teach you how to navigate the current job market.
Webinars cover:
Overview of Services and Responsibilities
Rêsumê Development and Cover Letter Writing
Job Searches
Application Submissions
Interviewing Preparations
Understanding Your Rights as an Applicant/Employee
Hiring and Salary Negotiations
In addition to the webinars, you will work one-on-one with our team to complete tasks which reinforce the training provided and jumpstart you getting back to work.
We help you search for job opportunities, submit applications, prepare for interviews, and ensure that once you start working that all of your essential job duties are within your permanent restrictions. If you need reasonable accommodations, we will work that out with your employer.
Our Three-Part Plan for Success
Technology: Ensure you know how to use technology to your advantage for resumes, application submission, and yes, even using AI.
Interviews: We run through practice interviews with you so you know what to expect and be prepared. We offer real-time feedback to help you improve.
Job Leads: You will be required to look for job opportunities on your own and keep track of your contacts. This way, you build the skills to find work on your own in the future.
Continued Support
Once you land a job, we’re still here. We’ll continue checking in with you and your employer to make sure you’re working safely. Our goal is to help you succeed both now and in the future.
But, does it work?
In January 2025, we completely revamped our process. I can promise you, you will get out of it what you put into it. So far all individuals who have participated, received a job offer within eight weeks!
What to expect
Once we receive authorization, one of our Job Coaches will reach out to introduce you to the process. You will have a few tasks to get ready for the first webinar and then we will hit the ground running.
Almost all tasks are done via webinar, virtual meetings, and phone calls. You will have the opportunity to come in person and work with us, if you want or need to!
Testimonial
“I looked for a job for months with no success. No callbacks from my application submissions. No interviews scheduled..
I started working with Kelsea and Rachel and had interviews scheduled within a few weeks. I had multiple offers to choose from within two months.
This program taught me how to get a job and use technology to my advantage.
I am so grateful.”
